Living Offside – art sales: for football, life & football

FAQ and Product Information

About Living Offside

Q. Who buys Living Offside cartoons and why?

A. This is perhaps the question I'm asked most often – especially by people I meet for the first time.

Nowadays, I suppose some people view any form of art as a potential investment. Others buy my work to give as personal or business gifts. It seems however that most people simply like my interpretation of the football world which they themselves have a passion for.

Q. Do you portray other sports like golf?

A. I have known so many golfers, cricketers, rugby players etc over the years, that perhaps it's just a matter of time before these sports start appearing on the Living Offside site.

Q. Do you sell non sports cartoons?

A. I get the feeling that these too will start to feature as the gallery builds each month.

Orders, delivery times, costs and reproduction charges

Q. How long after placing an order from the Gallery does my artwork take to arrive?

A. After receiving your order, we at Living Offside attempt to dispatch your artwork as soon as the colouring process is completed. It is our aim to post all products by first class post within 14 days. Should you require the artwork sooner then please provide details and we will attempt everything we can to accommodate you. We can't however give a 100% guaranteed delivery date and special deliveries will cost more depending on where you live.

Please note postage is £10 per order – so even if you require more than one piece of artwork from the gallery – you only need pay £10 in total each time you order.

Q. What is it I receive if I buy a hand coloured cartoon from the Gallery?

A. We hope to send you (within 14 days of receiving your order): An unframed, hand coloured, limited edition (200) signed cartoon. The cartoon is presented on textured water colour paper (190g). The cartoon is featured on paper which is approximately A3 in size (420 × 297 mm, or 16.54 × 11.69 inches).

The artwork is intended to be delivered to you via first class/registered mail, so please be aware that you need to sign for it. Artwork returned to us from the mailing address you have provided will be resent once the P&P for the second delivery is paid for (£10).

Please remember these are hand coloured, therefore some colour and technique may vary from the pictures on screen.

Your artwork also contains the wording:

Living Offside featuring Coach Ronnie Rout Words & Pictures: Tim Lewis livingoffside.com

Next to this will be Tim's signature and the date of the colouring completion.

Q. Are there taxes on these unique hand drawn and coloured artworks?

A. Please note that you as the buyer are responsible should there be any taxes, tolls or other payments due on packages or their contents in your region, state or country.

Q. Why is the artwork unframed?

A. Many of our clients prefer to frame the cartoons themselves to match with their home, office, studio or gallery. Also packaging, especially for overseas clients, is expensive and can slow down the posting and delivery times.

Q. Is it possible to buy the original cartoons used for limited edition Gallery promotions?

A. Not right now, but perhaps in the next few months – so please sign up to our newsletter to be kept up-to-date!

Q. Do you take on commissioned work?

A. Yes, let me know what you have in mind and I'll advise on rates etc.

Q. What is the best way to protect the artwork?

A. We only use top quality professional art materials and fixatives. Our clients however are advised to follow a common sense approach to the artwork, e.g. not allowing it to come into contact with anything harmful such as fluids, or being handled carelessly etc. Protecting it in a frame behind picture glass is strongly recommended, as is not displaying work in direct sunlight etc.

Please remember, these are not posters – they are hand coloured pieces of art and as such should be framed as soon as they arrive in your possession. Please inform people of this if you are giving them as gifts.

Q. Can I/we use Living Offside artwork in our projects or for promotional purposes?

A. Living Offside Gallery cartoons (and all other Living Offside products and graphics) are supplied as pieces of art that will for the most part be displayed in people's homes, offices, studios or galleries. Individuals and companies may feel that the Living Offside humour lends itself to promoting their products and services. If this is the case we are happy for Living Offside artwork to be used for a fee and with written permission in newspapers, newsletters, presentations, magazines, advertising, brochures, books, web sites, licensing, and other projects and campaigns.

Please note that ALL use of the Living Offside work requires written permission by myself, Tim Lewis. To discuss your individual requirements, please don't hesitate to contact me via livingoffside.com
